Softball Welcomes Saint Louis and Eastern Kentucky In Final Home Tournament

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team is set to host its final non-conference tournament of the season this upcoming Friday and Saturday with Saint Louis and Eastern Kentucky coming to town. The tournament was originally set to begin Friday afternoon, but rain in the forecast has pushed play up, starting at 11 a.m. at the Tigers Softball Complex Friday.

Quick Hitters
- Memphis enters the final non-conference tournament weekend with an 11-11 overall record.
- The Tigers are currently 7-4 at home and are looking to snap a four-game skid dating back to last weekend at the UofM Softball Tournament.
- Lindsay Crowdus extended her hitting streak to 11 games on Tuesday against Texas A&M, which matches a career-high. Crowdus leads the Tigers with a .456 batting average through 68 at bats. She's tallied 31 hits and five triples so far this year.
- With five triples, Crowdus ranks third in the NCAA. The Tigers collectively have 10 so far this season which ranks eighth in the NCAA.
- Kyler Trosclair is also hitting above .400 for the Tigers with a mark of .421. She registered a pair of hits against the Aggies and leads the team with 13 stolen bases and 13 runs scored.
- The duo of Crowdus and Trosclair join redshirt-senior Hannah Harrell and former Tiger Leandra Hines as the only players in school history to have at least 40 stolen bases in their career.
- Head coach Natalie Poole is in her sixth season at the helm of the Memphis program.
A Look At The Competition
- Eastern Kentucky owns a 9-14 overall record entering into the weekend.
- Rachel Minogue has been on a hot streak at the plate, hitting a team-high .507 with 35 hits. Eight of those hits are doubles and she leads the team with 23 RBI.
- Mia Sanchez leads the team in stolen bases with 12 successful attempts. Compared to Saint Louis' 11 stolen bases, EKU has registered 35 this season.
- Mollie Paulick leads the team in ERA with a mark of 1.05 in 46.2 innings pitched. As a staff, the Colonels have struck out 123 batters.
- Saint Louis comes into the Tiger Classic with a 11-6 overall record. The Billikens have yet to play at home this season and in true road games, Saint Louis is 2-3.
- Allie Macfarlane leads the team offensively with a .434 batting average and 23 hits. She also has hit four home runs with 18 runs driven in.
- Collectively as a team, Saint Louis is hitting .291 and owns a staff ERA of 2.67 led by Kaylea Chappelle's 2.19 ERA in 38.1 innings pitched.
