Softball Hosts Nationally Ranked USF in Weekend Series

Memphis looks to extend its stretch of four consecutive AAC series wins
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - After a four-game road swing, the Memphis Tigers play host to the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lions on Tuesday night in a doubleheader at the Tigers Softball Complex.Â

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Memphis comes into the game ranked 17th in the country with a school-record 80 stolen bases. Two players, Hannah Harrell (22) and Kyler Trosclair (21) have each topped the previoius single-season stolen base mark this season.
Leading the way for Memphis offensively has been Brittany Seale, who is batting .339 with a team-high 29 RBI's. Three others: Lindsay Crowdus (.320), Brooke Lee (.319), and Lindsey Stickrod (.318) are each hitting over .300 on the season. Stickrod and Lee have 27 and 26 RBI's, each, while Kyler Trosclair has scored a team-high 29 runs on the year.
Molly Smith has led the Tiger pitching staff with a 9-9 record and a 2.40 ERA. She has 100 strikeouts in 110.2 innings during the year, while holding opponents to a .249 batting average. Bayleigh Wisher is 4-1 on the year, while Calli Irvin and Katie Brignac each have three wins.

USF comes into the game riding a five-game win streak, and has 27 wins in the last 28 games.
The Bulls have three players hitting over .400 on the year, led by Kristen Wyckoff, who is hitting .478. Juli Weber has a .448 batting average, and has scored a team-high 40 runs in 46 games. Erica Nunn, who is also the team's top pitcher, bats .446 with four home runs and 25 RBI's. Lee Ann Spivey and Mia Fung have each hit a team-high nine home runs, while Spivey leads the team with 32 RBI's. Like the Tigers, USF has four players with double-digit steals this season, and has 64 on the season.
Nunn, who is 20-6 with five saves, has a 1.65 ERA in 152.1 innings of work, while striking out 160 batters. The Bull pitchers have allowed opponents to hit just .232, as Cheyenne Eggens is a perfect 6-0 in the circle with a 2.39 ERA, while Susan Wysocki is 10-3 with a 3.07 ERA.
