Kassie Kadera joined the University of Memphis Volleyball coaching staff in July 2021. After three seasons at Eastern Michigan University, Kadera became the Associate Head Coach for Sean Burdette's squad.
While at Eastern Michigan, Kadera served as the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach for the Eagles, as she navigated the program through the Covid-19 pandemic from both recruiting and travel perspectives. She specialized in working with the setters.
Prior to her time with the Eagles, Kadera was the head coach at Walsh University, an NCAA DII school in Canton, Ohio. After she joined Walsh University as an Assistant Coach for the 2014 season, the was promoted to the Head coach for the 2015-2018 campaigns. In 2018, Kadera led Walsh to its first ever East Division title and second conference tournament appearance. Her 2017 squad was the first to post a winning record in Walsh volleyball history.
Before Kadera's five years at Walsh University, she spent time with Maverick Volleyball Club, Xtreme Volleyball Club, and Nova Juniors, where she was responsible for training the setters at all levels and was the head coach for the Maverick 18's National Team for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 club seasons. Kadera broke into coaching as a volunteer assistant with the University of Akron in 2012.
On the court, Kadera was a four-year starter at setter for the University of Toledo from 2008-2011. A three-time co-captain of the Rockets, she ranked third in the MAC in assists per set in 2008, 2010, and 2011 and led the conference in 2009. Kadera earned All-MAC Second Team honors in 2009, 2010, and 2011 and was a seven-time All-Tournament Team selection. A graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Sport Management at Toledo, Kadera ranks second in program history in career assists with 4,853.
