Did You Know?
Harrelson originally came to then-Memphis State as a volleyball player? She signed a scholarship with Alabama out of high school and changed her mind to stay home and play at then-Memphis State under coach Diane Hale. After playing volleyball for the 1983-84 season, she transitioned to the women's golf team and redshirt her first season on the golf team. She was named the 1984-85 Most Improved Player and by her senior season, was the golf team captain and posted the team's lowest scoring average.
