Tigers Sit in Fifth Place Following Day One of Payne Stewart Memorial

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The University of Memphis women's golf team sits in fifth place of the Payne Stewart Memorial following day one of the tournament with Emily Wilson in the top 10 for individuals.
Memphis, who shot 17 over par in round one, saw an eight-stroke improvement in round two to end up at 26 over par for the day. Wilson, who goes into round three in eighth place, finished with 73 scores in both rounds while Tilly Garfoot is not too far behind her at six over par and a share of 13th place.
Newcomers Pavarisa Jongpipttaporn and Claire Todd finished the day in a share for 16th and 20th place, respectively. Claire Swathwood rounded out the rest of the team finishing 10 over par today.
Tomorrow's final round will start with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live results can be found HERE.
