2017 (Junior):
Earning the role of captain halfway through the year for the Tigers, Levasseur was a vital piece for the squad, filling multiple roles on the pitch … started in each of the 19 matches she appeared in ... scored three goals on the year as a midfielder, in matches against UAB (8/27), Houston (9/24), and UConn (10/8) … her goal against Houston came just two minutes into overtime, making it the game-winner … in addition to her scoring, Levasseur was also responsible for three assists, coming against Little Rock (8/20), Rice (9/8), and against UConn (11/1) … early on in the season, she played more of a defensive midfielder, providing a passing link from the back line to the attacking pieces on the pitch … later in the season, Levasseur was called on more to help anchor the defense of the Tigers, helping to log four shutouts in the last seven contests of the year … played 90+ minutes in all but two of the matches in the season, recording 1763 total minutes.
2016 (Sophomore):
Started in all 20 matches ... was a major part of the defense that only allowed 18 goals all season … as a midfielder and defender, she found herself scoring one goal against ECU (10/6) and dishing an assist to Elizabeth Woerner against UT Martin (9/18) … played 90+ minutes in 13 of the 20 games during the season.
2015 (Freshman):
Started all 19 matches in defense/midfield as a true freshman for the Tigers … logged 1,520 minutes during the season … assisted on two goals, both were game-winning goals … first assist came on Valerie Sanderson’s overtime winner against Gonzaga … second assist was crossed into the box and volleyed home by senior Emily Adamic … as a defender she contributed to seven shutouts by Memphis … played every minute of nine matches during the season.
Prior to Memphis:
Like her sister Marie, Catherine made her debut in the Canadian youth program at 16-years-old in 2013 for coach Beverly Priestman … logged 650 minutes as a defender for W-League team Quebec Dynamo ARSQ in the summer of 2014 … a standout defender and midfielder for Haute-Saint-Charles under coach Fabien Colton, where she made the All-Stars provincial team.
Personal:
Daughter of Marc Levasseur and Pauline Fournier … will play alongside her twin sister Marie Levasseur at the University of Memphis … enjoys shopping, basketball, golf, skiing and tennis when not playing soccer … majoring in communication and journalism.
