A four-year letterwinner in centerfield from 2005-08, Chalmers holds the program's record for games played, runs, stolen bases, triples and walks. A Second-Team All-C-USA performer, Chalmers was an "Iron Man" for the Tigers, starting in 147 straight games in his career before being sidelined with an injury in the UAB series. His 112 career stolen bases ranks as the third-most in Conference USA history. A member of the 2008 College Baseball Foundation Preseason Wallace Watch List and team captain for the 2008 Tigers, Chalmers ranked nationally in stolen bases three times in his four-year stint (12th in 2006, 21st in 2007 and 66th in 2008). Always a threat on the base paths, the speedy Chalmers led Memphis and Conference USA with 39 stolen bases in 2006 and 33 in 2007. His 39 steals in '06 tied Dave Anderson's single-season record. That accomplishment tabbed him as the first Tiger baseball player ever to steal 30 or more bases in consecutive seasons. With Chalmers roaming the outfield, Memphis won 98 games from 2005-08.

He'll approach this with the same passion, work ethic and commitment he approached playing the game and I anticipate a long and successful coaching career is in store for K.K." -Daron Schoenrock ![]() ![]() |
