MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis volleyball team continues its homestand Tuesday, hosting regional rival Ole Miss at 6 p.m. inside the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The match will broadcast live on ESPN+.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Memphis (2-6) returns to action after a 1-2 showing at the Carrie Yerty Classic. The Tigers opened the tournament with a sweep of Alcorn State before dropping matches to Boston College in four sets and Mississippi State in three. Caitlyn Little paced the Memphis offense over the weekend, tallying 28 kills at an average of 2.80 per set. Sydney Marshall orchestrated the attack with 75 assists, averaging 7.50 per set, alongside seven service aces. Marshall recorded her 1,000th career assist in the game against Mississippi State. Kaylee Parker anchored the defense at the net with nine total blocks, including one solo effort.

Jorda Crook and Melia Johnson lead the Rebels' attack, combining for 90 kills over 12 sets during the stretch. Setter Vivianna Samaniego has distributed 88 assists, averaging 7.33 per set, supported by Tenesyn Frye's 37 assists. At the net, Carly Paugh and Crook have posted 18 blocks apiece, with Paugh recording two solo stops.
THE SERIES BETWEEN THE REBELS
Tuesday marks the 72nd meeting between the programs in a series dating back to 1972. Ole Miss holds a 38-33 overall advantage, though Memphis owns an 18-16 edge on its home floor. The Rebels took the most recent matchup, a three-set victory in Oxford during the 2025 season.
