Hernandez Selected to American All-Conference Second Team

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis baseball graduate shortstop Javon Hernandez was named to the 2026 American All-Conference Second Team, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Hernandez was a catalyst at the top of the Tigers lineup throughout the season, hitting .252 while leading the team with 47 runs scored. He added 11 doubles, the second-most on the team, along with four home runs and 21 RBI while posting a .358 on-base percentage and drawing 24 walks.
In conference play, Hernandez consistently created opportunities for Memphis with both his speed and ability to reach base. He swiped 24 stolen bases on the season, ranking third in the American Conference, while serving as one of the Tigers' most dynamic threats on the basepaths. Defensively, Hernandez also made an impact at shortstop throughout the year, flashing his athleticism with a number of highlight-reel plays and difficult defensive stops while providing a steady presence in the middle of the infield.
