MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team hosts Alabama A&M for a Tuesday doubleheader with start times of 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The Tigers will cross the 40-game mark of the season with this doubleheader, also marking Memphis' fourth and fifth games against opponents from the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Memphis (12-27, 3-12 American) is coming off a weekend where it secured one win over UAB before falling in the final two games of the series.

She also leads the Tigers in RBI (22) while being tied with Ariel Davis for the most doubles (eight) on the team. Davis is still the Tigers' leader in OPS (1.106) and home runs (six), while being the only Memphis player to play in and start every game this season. Paris Brienesse, Jasmine Mack and Neely Taylor round out the Memphis batters hitting above .300 on the year.
In the circle, Mya Clark currently leads Memphis with a 2.88 ERA in American Conference play over 17 innings, while Avery Stutts has been a workhorse for the Tigers, logging team-bests in innings pitched (75.2) and strikeouts (32). Stutts also picked up her first collegiate save against UAB in game one of the series. Freshman Taylor Caton continues to see improved usage with 30 strikeouts over 43 innings in the circle.
