Softball Adds Tuesday Doubleheader Against Oakland
Feb 27, 2026 | Softball
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball program has announced that it will add a doubleheader against Oakland, set for Tuesday, March 3 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
The games will take place between Memphis' final tournament weekend in the LSU Invitational and Memphis' opening weekend of American Conference play against South Florida (March 6-8).
The doubleheader is an effort to make up for missed games by both programs, as Memphis has had three cancellations this season against Kansas City, Southern Indiana and Indiana State. Oakland has seven total cancellations over the next six days and was originally scheduled to play Maryland on March 3.
The Grizzlies (6-3) have a doubleheader against Rochester Christian today and will play at Alabama at the turn of March before playing Memphis two days later.
