Gannon Named ITA Central Region Most Improved Player

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis' Conor Gannon is the 2025 ITA Central Region Most Improved Player, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced on Tuesday.

Gannon, a senior from Dublin, Ireland, finished the season ranked No. 108 in the ITA singles rankings. He earned All-Conference status from The American for the 2024-25 season after playing in the top singles spot all season. Gannon also finished the season ranked No. 89 in doubles with Sam Reeve.

He went 16-6 in singles overall and picked up two wins over nationally ranked opponents. Gannon spent the majority of the season in the top 125 for singles, climbing as high as 98.

Last week when the ITA Central Region released its end-of-season rankings, Gannon was No. 6 in singles and No. 3 in doubles with Reeve.
