MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Fifty-eight Memphis Tiger student-athletes participated in spring commencement ceremonies at FedExForum over the weekend, with 31 graduating with honors.
The 58 student-athletes represent 14 different sport programs. Degrees conferred include computer engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental science, sport & leisure management and international business, among many others. Six student-athletes earned master's degrees, and five others earned graduate certificates.
"The entire athletic department would like to congratulate our spring graduates on their outstanding achievement," University of Memphis Senior Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Ed Scott, Ph.D. said. "Successfully graduating student-athletes is a key goal of the department's mission so we are extremely proud of our student-athletes who have flourished under the leadership of our support systems, coaches and the Center for Athletic Academic Success staff. We wish our graduates the best of luck in their next journey and are excited to see what they will accomplish following their time at Memphis."
