Adebayo Hits 10th Home Run as Tigers Fall to Florida Atlantic

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Memphis (17-32, 4-19 AAC) softball fell by a score of 7-2 against RV Florida Atlantic (40-9, 19-4 AAC) Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Florida Atlantic continued its strong hitting from game one by putting up four runs in the first inning.
- Kylie Channell brought Kylie Hammonds home with a single to left field, aided by a throwing error.
- Channell scored on a passed ball in the next at-bat.
- Clara Gibson's two-run home run gave FAU a four-run lead.
- Starting pitcher Rylee Dugar rebounded with a strong second inning, keeping FAU scoreless in the frame.
- It was the first time in the series that the Owls failed to score a run in an inning.
- FAU added a run in the third inning off a Kiley Shelton sacrifice fly.
- Kayla Clement notched her first career double as a Memphis Tiger but was stranded in the top of the fifth inning.
- After Rylee Dugar's third scoreless frame, Zoe Adebayo stepped in and slugged her 10th home run of the season over the left-center wall.
