Tigers Drop Road Contest to 49ers, 3-1

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of Memphis (3-5-3, 2-2-0 American) men's soccer team fell by a score of 3-1 to Charlotte (4-3-2, 2-0-1 American) Friday night at the Charlotte Soccer Field.
A goal just before the end of the first half gave Charlotte the lead, and an answer by Memphis was quickly met by two goals from set pieces by the 49ers.

- 7' – Charlotte had two quick chances at the beginning of the match, but goalkeeper Filip Sabatti filtered through the traffic in the box for his first save of the night.
- 42' – The 49ers opened the scoring in the final minutes of the first half with a goal by Denis Krioutchenkov on a pass from Tate Asante.
- 62' – Forward Miller Lashlee cut off a pass designated for a Charlotte defender and sped into the box before knotting the match at one goal apiece.
