Riley McCloskey set the tone for Memphis in the second set with a kill to spark a 3-0 run. Greene responded with two kills for the Owls as both teams battled point-for-point, exchanging three-point runs throughout the frame. McCloskey, Janyah Henderson and Zaniah Hoskins combined for 10 kills, while Tate closed out the set with the winning kill, 25-23.
The third set followed a similar pattern, with both teams trading points early until Memphis built a 9-3 lead on a 5-0 run.
