Tigers Back in Action at GMAC Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's golf team is back on the course starting Sunday when it takes part in the GMAC Invitational at the Limestone Springs Golf Club in Oneonta, Ala.
"It's a quick turnaround but we're excited to get back to competition," head men's golf coach Blake Smart said. "I think this course will be a completely different set of challenges from last week, so it will be important to have a great practice round and be ready to go Sunday morning."
Coming off their first tournament of the season, the Tigers got a great showing from junior Jackson McCommon last week after he shot a career-low for both an 18-hole and 54-hole round during the Bearcat Invitational. McCommon would go on to lead the team with a final score of 215 with a share of 17th place – his highest finish during his collegiate career.
A 7,000-yard, par 72 course, Limestone Springs Golf Club will play host to 15 schools with every team playing 18 holes each of the three days. Memphis will see the team of Diego Lourenco, Yixiang Wang, Jackson McCommon, Kaiser Godinez and Cian O'Connor while Andrew Baucum will compete as an individual.
Memphis will tee off each day ranging from 8:45 a.m. to 9:21 a.m.
