Tigers Finish T-13th, McCommon Shoots Career Low for Best Collegiate Finish

CINCINNATI, Ohio – In the final round of the Bearcat Invitational, the University of Memphis men's golf team got a strong showing from junior Jackson McCommon, who finished with a career-low 215 final score and a share of 17^th place.

"Some positive take aways from the event," head men's golf coach Blake Smart said. "We have a lot to clean up, but I'm excited about the group we have."

McCommon, who also recorded a career-low 18-hole score in round one with a score of 71, led the team with a T17th finish following his 215 score while recording an eagle on hole four of the course today (546 yards, par five). Yixiang Wang and Diego Lourencoweren't too far behind him, both at six over par and final scores of 219.

Freshman Kaiser Godinez finished his first collegiate tournament with a final score of 221 after finishing round three at three over par today while Andrew Baucum rounded out the Tigers with a final score of 227.
