Lourenco Earns Second Top-Three Finish at Colleton River Collegiate

BLUFFTON, S.C. – University of Memphis men's golf finished eighth in the Colleton River Collegiate at the Colleton River Club on Tuesday afternoon.

"While I certainly would have liked a better placement, I will say that it was a positive step for us this week," head coach Blake Smart said. "We have had production from different guys and if we can put it together, I think we can make a run at some point."

Freshman Diego Lourenco earned his second-straight top-three finish, finishing T-2^nd with a final stroke count of 205 (-11).

"Diego [Lourenco] was really strong this week. He managed his game well and executed at a high level. His patience foe the game is really impressive for a freshman," Smart shared.

Key Moments

Lourenco finished T-2^nd, his second-straight top-three placing, carding rounds of 71-69-65, with a final score of 205 (-11).
Cian O'Connor and Esteban Vazquez each earned top-30 placings for the Tigers with final stroke counts of 212 and 213.
Adam Coull finished one under par with a final score of 215 over the three rounds of play.
Yixiang Wang and Jack Tanner rounded out the Tigers T-50^th and T-57^th.
