Tigers Play Final Homes Games of Season Against UTSA, UAB

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team will be in Elma Roane Fieldhouse for the final two times this season when it hosts UTSA on Wednesday evening and UAB on Saturday afternoon.
Wednesday's game is scheduled to tip-off at 7 p.m. with Saturday's game slated to start at 2 p.m. with Senior Day celebrations to take place prior to tip. Both games can be found on ESPN+.
Memphis (11-15, 7-8 AAC) is coming off its third consecutive win after taking a 54-44 win over Tulane. With the victory, the Tigers completed their first season sweep of the Green Wave since the 2016-17 season. Madison Griggs led all players with 15 points while the team forced Tulane into 27 turnovers – 19 of them coming in the first half.
Winners of three of their last four games, the Tigers are currently tied for 10th in the AAC standings with three regular season games left.
In the rankings, Memphis is leading the conference in offensive rebounds per game with 17.0 per contest while coming in at fourth in the nation. The Tigers are also in the top-15 in the country in turnovers forced with an average of 20.8.
UTSA (14-12, 8-7 AAC) is coming off a 76-60 win over Florida Atlantic where the Roadrunners took a commanding 34-19 lead at the half. A 23-point performance from Krya White and a double-double from Idara Udo secured the 16-point win for the 'Runners as they cruised to the victory.
As a team, UTSA leads the AAC in rebound margin with over 10 more boards than its opponent while also ranking first with almost 30 defensive rebounds and 45 total rebounds per game.
The Roadrunners have four players currently averaging double-figures in scoring with Elyssa Coleman leading the pack with just under 11 points per game. She, along with Uno, are leading the team on the boards with a combined 361 rebounds.
UAB (18-10, 9-7 AAC) has dropped its last two games, falling 84-72 to Tulsa before suffering a 95-77 loss to North Texas this past weekend.
The Blazers have become one of the most dangerous teams in the conference, leading the AAC in free throw percentage (77.3) and three-point percentage (36.1) while Mia Moore, Denim DeShields and Maddie Walsh are all ranked at the top of multiple categories.
Earlier this season when Memphis and UAB met, the Blazers got the best of the Tigers with a 65-63 win. While Memphis got 22 points from Griggs and a double-double of 17 points and 20 rebounds from Alasia Smith, the hot shooting of the Blazers could not be stopped.
