No. 12 Memphis Faces No. 9 Murray State, No. 18 UT Martin this Weekend

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 12-ranked University of Memphis rifle team will hit the road for a pair of matches this weekend. The Tigers will head to Murray, Ky. to face No. 9 Murray State on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 9 a.m. before going against No. 18 UT Martin on Sunday, Jan. 28 at 9 a.m. Live targets for both matches can be found at GoTigersGo.com.
Memphis enters the weekend with a record of 4-5 on the season overall, with wins over No. 16 Jacksonville State, No. 13 Navy, No. 7 Ohio State and No. 16 Morehead State. The weekend's matches will be the first for the Tigers since Nov. 12.
Sophomore Gabriela Zych leads the way for Memphis this season, totaling team-best averages of 586.429 in smallbore, 596 in air rifle and 1182.429 in aggregate. Angeline Henry is second on the squad in both smallbore (580.286) and aggregate (1172.857), while freshman Kenlee Ewton is second in air rifle with an average of 592.875.
Murray State comes into Saturday's match with a record of 4-3 on the year, with wins over UT Martin, UTEP, Ohio State and Jacksonville State. UT Martin has posted a mark of 1-6 on the season, with the team's victory coming over UAB.
