VanBrakle Prothro Adds McKaylee Polk to 2024 Roster

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Head Memphis Tiger softball coach Stephanie VanBrakle Prothro has added McKaylee Polk to her 2024 roster.
Polk, a 5'3" infielder out of Senatobia, Miss., comes to Memphis after a successful prep career at Northwest Mississippi Community College where she has a batting average of .461 with 42 homeruns and a 1.034 slugging percentage. Polk scored 106 runs with 123 RBIs in 95 games played over her career at Northwest Mississippi CC. She helped the Rangers to a 32-11 overall record while being named the MACCC Player of the Year in 2023.
"I am excited about adding [McKaylee] Polk to the Memphis Softball Family." VanBrakle Prothro shared. " She is a local kid who loves Memphis and she will be a great addition offensively."
Polk, a two-time All-MACCC selection and NJCAA First Team All-American helped led her team to the NJCAA Division I World Series Championship Tournament her freshman year, where the Rangers took fourth place.
"I'm so excited to be able to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Memphis." Polk said. "Thank you, Coach VanBrakle Prothro, for giving me the opportunity to follow and fulfill my dreams. I am proud to be a Memphis Tiger!"
