Fowler Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis baseball left-handed pitcher Dalton Fowler was selected to the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Weekly Honor Roll for his performance on April 1 against Tulane, the conference announced Monday.
Fowler is the sixth Tiger to be honored this season, joining Dalton Kendrick (twice), Logan Kohler, Brayland Skinner, Anthony Hansen and JT Durham.
Over the weekend, Fowler started in Saturday's 3-1 win over Tulane and was dominant over five shutout innings of work. The 6-foot-6 lefty struck out 12 to set a new season high and allowed just three hits. From the third through fifth innings, Fowler recorded eight-consecutive outs as strikeouts.
On the year, he has struck out 60 batters in 36.2 innings and has registered three starts with double-digit strikeouts.
The Tigers play a mid-week game tomorrow (April 4) at FedExPark Avron Fogelman Field at 6 p.m. against defending national champion Ole Miss.
