Hauer, Nakao Named to TopDrawerSoccer Postseason Awards

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The awards continue to roll in for the University of Memphis tiger women's soccer team as Anna Hauer and Momo Nakao have been named to the TopDrawerSoccer Postseason Awards list.
"Extremely delighted for Momo and Anna," head coach Brooks Monaghan said. "Both are well deserved of their recognition as they were a big part of this season's success. They both have extremely bright futures ahead of them and will play a big part in our program moving forward."
Hauer, a freshman out of Calgary, Alberta, was selected to the Freshman Best XI First Team following a breakout rookie season. Hauer played in all 22 matches while making 20 starts in route to a team third-best eight goals this season. The AAC Co-Freshman of the Year recorded four game-winning strikes, including the strike that sent the Tigers to its third consecutive AAC Championship Title match.
Nakao, a junior from Inzai City, Chiba, Japan, was named to the Best XI Third Team after serving as a staple in the Memphis midfield. The AAC's Midfielder of the Year, Nakao recorded six goals and five assists while ranking third on the team with over 1,840 minutes of action. Nakao, who was also selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region First Team, notched four game-winning goals this season – including the strike in the 3' against LSU in the NCAA Tournament First Round.
