Nov 08, 2023 | Women's Volleyball
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tiger volleyball team is pleased to announce two signees to the 2024 class. Emma Levingston and Tiffany Snook signed letters of intent today.
Levingston, a 5'11" outside hitter, out of Brandon, Miss., comes to Memphis after a successful prep career at Brandon High School where she recorded a career .259 hitting average, 907 kills, 2.7 kills per set, 86 blocks and 81 service aces.
"Emma will be an early high school graduate and join us this coming Spring semester to get a jump start on her training. Emma comes from a championship pedigree at Brandon High School in Mississippi," head coach Sean Burdette said. "Emma will come in and compete at the Outside Hitter position this spring. She possesses a strong all-around game that makes her a threat as a passer and attacker."
During Levingston's senior season she averaged a .270 clip and 3.1 kills per set. She also tallied 349 kills, 30 blocks and 30 aces.
Snook, a 6'2" middle hitter, out of Fishers, Ind., comes to Memphis after a successful prep career at Hamilton Southeastern High School where she recorded a career .328 hitting average, 506 kills, 214 blocks and 46 aces.
"Tiffany comes from one of the most competitive clubs in the country in Munciana Volleyball Club. They provide excellent training and are competing for National Championships every year," Burdette remarked. "Last summer, Tiffany won an AAU National Championship with Munciana and then this fall ran the table with her high school team by going undefeated throughout the season winning an Indiana State High School Championship."
"Tiffany brings a very competitive attitude, knows how to win and has a high ceiling to continue to grow and get better at the next level. She is a versatile middle hitter that will add length and depth to that position," Burdette said.
Snook's senior season saw her average a .422 clip with 2.1 kills per set. She also put together 63 blocks and 199 kills, 2.1 per set.
