Nov 12, 2023 | Rifle
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 9-ranked University of Memphis rifle team fell to No. 4 Georgia Southern, 4724-4703, on Sunday at the R.F. Fogelman Rifle Range in Memphis, Tenn. The Eagles (7-1) won smallbore, 2344-2327, before beating the Tigers (4-5) in air rifle, 2380-2376.
"Today was a good day against Georgia Southern and I'm happy with how consistent we're becoming," head coach Morgan Phillips said. "I think we got a really good idea of which areas we can grow in and know there are still a lot of points out there. Tanner was a highlight for us with his season high and collegiate personal best in air. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can come back and accomplish in the spring after the foundation that we've laid this semester."
