No. 14 Memphis Rifle Opens Season at No. 7 West Virginia, No. 6 Navy

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 14-ranked University of Memphis rifle team will open the 2022-23 season on the road against No. 6 West Virginia and No. 15 Navy this weekend.
The Tigers will face the Mountaineers in Morgantown, W.V. at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 before going against Navy at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2. Live targets for both matches can be found at GoTigersGo.com.
"We are really looking forward to getting on the road and starting our season against WVU and Navy this weekend," head coach. Morgan Phillips said. "These are two locations that I have a long history with, so I'm really excited for the team to experience shooting at both ranges. We have had a great few weeks of practice and are ready to test some things out in competition."
Much like last season, the Tigers will face some of the best competition in the country this year. The 2022-23 schedule for Memphis includes six home matches at R.F. Fogelman Rifle Range in Memphis, Tenn. The slate also includes eight contests against GARC opponents.
The GARC Championships will be held in Morgantown, W.V. on Feb. 25-26, 2023, while the NCAA Championships will be held in Akron, Ohio on March 10-11.
