MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The 54th-ranked Memphis Tiger women's tennis team returned to American Athletic Conference action and handled Cincinnati, 4-0, Friday at Eldon Roark Tennis Center in Memphis, Tenn. The Tigers have won three-straight matches and nine of their last 10 overall.

"We have a lot of respect for Cincinnati, and I was proud of how the kids came out firing in singles," Memphis head coach Hayden Perez said. "The girls were relaxed and competed hard, and we are looking forward to Sunday. It's an early morning match on Sunday, and we would love to have as many people out as possible as we celebrate our seniors."

Doubles action went down to the third match, with Memphis (16-5) ultimately capturing the point. From there, the Tigers earned wins in singles numbers one, three and four to secure the victory over the Bearcats.

With their singles victories Friday, Aran Teixido Garcia improved to 11-5 on the year, Alisha Reayer moved to 12-5 and Emily Meyer advanced to 14-3 on the campaign.

Memphis' Senior Day match against Tulane on Sunday starts at 9:30 a.m. at Memphis University School.
