Baskin Named to AAC Honor Roll Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the third time in three weeks, the Memphis Tigers have representation on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, as 2B Austin Baskin earned recognition for his play over Memphis' four games last week.
In four games, all starts, Baskin recorded at least one hit in each game with multiple hits in all three games vs. Nicholls. Overall, Baskin went 9-17 (.529) with two doubles, a home run, three RBIs, and five runs scored. The second baseman added a .556 OBP and .824 SLG over Memphis' 2-2 week.
Baskin now has multiple hits in four of his last five games, all part of a five-game hitting streak. This season, the second baseman has hit .350 with two doubles, a home run, and five RBIs, as he has started all 10 games for the Tigers. Baskin is one of only three Memphis starters with an OBP and SLG of more than .400.
In each of the first two weeks of the season, RHP Connor Shamblin was named to the Weekly Honor Roll, while LF Ian Bibiloni earned the same recognition for the season's opening week.
The Tigers will be back in action Tuesday, as they head to Oxford to take on the #2 Ole Miss Rebels. Memphis will then head to Birmingham for a three-game set at the home of the Samford Bulldogs.
