Wineinger Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn.– The Tiger softball team collected their first American Athletic Conference Weekly Award winner today as Camryn Wineinger was named to the Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday.
Wineinger, a junior out of Plant City, Fla., recorded at least one hit in every game she played in this weekend and had three multi-hit games in the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational. She drove in the winning run against (RV) Austin Peay on Friday morning with an RBI single through the left side to give the Tigers the 5-4 win.
She finished the weekend going 8-13 from the plate with a .615 BA with four RBI and two walks.
This is the first AAC Weekly Honor for Wineinger.
Memphis softball will be back in action this weekend when they take part in The Evangline Bank and Trust II Invitational hosted by McNeese State. They will face-off with UT-Arlington, Manhattan College, McNeese State and UNLV this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Coverage for all games can be found on GoTigersGo.com.
