Tiger Women’s Golf Heads to New Orleans for Tulane Classic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's golf team will head to New Orleans, La. to compete in the inaugural Tulane Classic at the English Turn Golf & Country Club this week. The three-day tournament gets started on Sunday, Feb. 13 and runs through Tuesday, Feb. 15. Live scoring for the event can be found at GoTigersGo.com.
The 56-hole event will be hosted by Tulane and is presented by Green Wave men's golf alumnus Chad Brownstein. Teams will play 18 holes each day on the par 72, 6,178-yard course with 9:00 a.m. CT start times on holes 1 and 10 on Sunday and Monday. The third and final round will begin on holes 1 and 10 at 8:00 a.m. CT.
The 17-team field includes Memphis, two teams from Tulane, Boston College, Charlotte, No. 38 Clemson, Iowa, No. 10 Michigan, Nebraska, North Texas, Rutgers, SMU, Texas State, UAB, Southern Miss, UTSA and Wichita State.
Last time out, sophomore Rebecca Brink led the Tigers for the second-straight event, finishing tied for eighth overall with a score of 224 (+8) at The Club at Olde-Stone Intercollegiate on Oct. 26. Junior Victoria England earned a top-20 finish, placing in a tie for 14th with a total of 226 (+10).
