No. 13 Memphis Closes Out Fall Season Against No. 3 Kentucky

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 13-ranked University of Memphis rifle team will close out the fall season on Sunday, Nov. 19 against No. 3 Kentucky at the R.F. Fogelman Rifle Range in Memphis, Tenn. The match is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and live targets are available at GoTigersGo.com.
"We're looking forward to one final match this semester against Kentucky" head coach Morgan Phillips said. "They're the reigning national champions, so we're expecting them to push us this weekend. We've had a great week of practice so far and are feeling ready for the match."
The Tigers enter Sunday's match with an overall record of 2-5 on the season and a mark of 1-4 in Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) play. Last time out, Memphis dropped a hard-fought match at home to No. 9 Akron, 4697-4674. The Tigers' two wins this season have come against No. 9 Army and No. 14 Jacksonville State.
The Wildcats come to Memphis with a perfect, 6-0 record on the year. Kentucky has posted victories over Akron, NC State, Navy, North Georgia, Morehead State and Murray State.
