Tigers Slated for Competitive 2022 Schedule

MEMPHIS, Tenn.- Head softball coach Natalie Poole and staff have put together a vastly competitive schedule for the upcoming 2022 season.

"We look forward to a challenging pre-season, which includes six tournaments, prior to starting AAC play in late March," said Poole. "We expect our pre-season to help prepare us for tough conference matchups… our goal is to challenge the team daily so that they feel ready to face some of the toughest teams in the nation."

The Tigers will kick-off on the road for three consecutive tournaments in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Fort Meyers, Fla., and Lake Charles, La. in February before hosting three back-to-back tournaments in March. Memphis will host 13 different teams over three weeks for the Blues City Tournament, UofM Tournament and the Tiger Classic that will take place at the Tigers Softball Complex.

Other non-conference matchups include Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Mississippi State, Tennessee, North Alabama, Alcorn State, Central Arkansas and Ole Miss.

Memphis will open American Athletic Conference play March 25-27 when they host East Carolina.
