Poole Inks Emmalyn Brinka for 2023 Season

MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Head softball coach Natalie Poole has added another standout to the 2023 signing class in Emmalyn Brinka.

"We are excited about Emmalyn becoming a part of our program. She is a true competitor and has good game intelligence and a ton of drive," said Coach Poole.

Brinka, a native of Chandler, Arizona, comes to Memphis after a four-year career at Corona del Sol High School where she was named to the First Team and Second Team All-Region as well as collecting First Team All-Academic honors for three years in a row.

Last year, she led her club team to an outstanding 48-14-3 record. She was ranked as the 15^th pitcher for the Extra Innings Elite 100 in 2020 and was on the 2021 All-American Watch List.
