AKRON, Ohio – The No. 16-ranked University of Memphis rifle team fell on the road at No. 9 Akron, 4693-4649, at the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range on Sunday morning in Akron, Ohio. The Zips won smallbore, 2322-2303, and air rifle, 2371-2347.

With the setback, Memphis falls to 0-8 on the season overall, while Akron improves to 4-5 on the year.

KEY MOMENTS
• Junior Angeline Henry spearheaded the Tigers' effort on Sunday against the Zips, placing fourth overall with an aggregate score of 1169. Henry took third in smallbore with a total of 579 and seventh in air rifle with a score of 590.
• Sophomore Taylor Christian took eighth overall for Memphis with an aggregate score of 1163, which included a fifth place in smallbore with a total of 578.
• Jack Kersey finished 10^th overall with an aggregate score of 1160. The sophomore took 10^th place in air rifle with a season-best total of 586.
