BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A pair of first-half goals set the tone for the Memphis Tigers, who secured a road victory with a 3-1 win at UAB Saturday night in Birmingham, Ala.

Memphis moves to 1-3-1 with one game remaining on its season-opening six-match road trip. UAB is now 1-4-0.

KEY MOMENTS

The Tigers' third corner kick of the first half paid off, with UAB knocking in an own-goal to put Memphis ahead in the 34th minute, 1-0.
In the 41st minute, Maxi Galizzi found the back of the net off an assist from Brandon Brackett to make it 2-0 Tigers.
Jovan Prado gave the Tigers a third goal with a 69th-minute strike off a pass from JoseMaria Ojeda.
UAB got on the board in the 89th minute after a Nathanial St. Louis penalty kick goal.

NOTABLES

The Tigers had 11 shots in their two-goal opening half, six of which were on goal, and held UAB to four shots in the opening 45 minutes.
Memphis finished with a season-high-tying seven shots on-goal (vs. Dayton, 8/29).
Galizzi's and Prado's goals were their first of the season, as were Brackett's and Ojeda's assists.
Parker Lackland made four saves in goal.
Memphis' three goals are its most since a 4-3 win at No. 3 SMU on Oct. 18, 2019.
