Clarissa Larisey, Kimberley Smit named AAC Players of the Week

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis senior All-America forward Clarissa Larisey and junior defender Kimberley Smit have been named AAC Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, the conference announced Monday. Senior goalkeeper Elizabeth Moberg was named to the weekly honor roll.
The trio helped the Tigers (2-0, 1-0 AAC) to a 2-0 win over Tulsa in the AAC opener on Wednesday. Larisey scored both goals, marking her seventh multi-goal game of her career. Moberg posted her 29th career shutout in the net.
Larisey, who received her second career AAC Offensive Player of the Week honor and first this season, had seven shots in the game with four of them on goal. Smit had one shot on goal and anchored the Tigers' defense in helping post the shutout.
Memphis plays at Ole Miss this evening at 6, and the match will be livestreamed on SEC Network+. The Tigers return home for an AAC game against UCF on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.at the Park Avenue Campus.
