Poole Adds Transfer Drue Thomas for Upcoming 2022 Season

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Head Memphis softball coach Natalie Poole has expanded her roster for the upcoming season in the signing of Drue Thomas.
"We are thrilled to have Drue Thomas join our program," said Poole. "It can't be easy for anyone to join a new team mid-year, but if anyone can do it with ease, I believe it is her."
Thomas, a native of El Dorado, Ark., comes to Memphis after spending this past semester at Drexel University. Thomas was a four-year letter winner in tennis, basketball, softball and track at Parkers Chapel High School where she was named All-Conference for the tennis team all four years, three years for the basketball team and twice for the softball team. She was also an All-State performer in tennis and softball her junior and senior seasons and was named to the All-State Tournament team her senior season in softball.
"She has a competitive drive that we are excited to foster. We will be ready to get to work with her in January and see her on the mound soon after that when we begin playing in February," said Poole.
