MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After a five-set thrilling win Friday vs. USF, the Memphis Tigers (9-13, 2-8) couldn't overcome the UCF Knights (16-6, 9-1), as the top team in the American Athletic Conference swept the Tigers in three sets. UCF didn't trail until midway through the third set and tallied 13 fewer attack errors in the win.

Set 1

The Knights used an early 4-0 run to take command of the set
Memphis trailed by as many as 12 before a 4-0 run cut the deficit to eight (22-14)
Gigi Crescenzo had three of her team-high 13 kills in the set

Set 2

The set featured five ties, all inside the first 12 points
UCF took the lead for good with a 3-0 spurt that put the Knights up 9-6
The Knights didn't lead by more than three while the Tigers pulled within one at 22-21

Set 3

The only four lead changes of the match all occurred in the third set
The Tigers turned a six-point deficit into a three-point lead with an extended 12-3 run
Memphis led 17-14 before the Knights struck for four straight
UCF took the lead for good with another 4-0 run to lead 23-20
The Tigers pulled back within one before UCF closed the match with the final two points

With 13 kills and 11 digs, Gigi Crescenzo recorded her second straight double-double and third of the season
Crescenzo also hit a team-best .357
The Tigers improved their attack in each set, hitting .000, .189, and .259 over each respective set
