No. 6 Tigers Fall to No. 1 West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.V. – The No. 6-ranked University of Memphis rifle team fell to No. 1 West Virginia, 4718-4622, in Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) action on Sunday morning in Morgantown, W.V.
The Tigers (0-1, 0-1 GARC) posted scores of 2279 in smallbore and 2343 in air rifle on the day, while the Mountaineers (3-0, 2-0 GARC) totaled 2341 in smallbore and 2377 in air rifle.
KEY MOMENTS
• In her first match as a Tiger, Angeline Henry led the team, placing ninth overall with an aggregate total of 1170.
• Henry was the top Memphis performer in both disciplines, placing 10th in smallbore with a score of 576 and fifth in air rifle with a total of 594.
• Kaylene Castillo earned a top-10 finish in air rifle for the Tigers, finishing with a total of 591 to place eighth.
