Robinson signs with Memphis baseball

MEMPHIS – Memphis baseball announced its first signee of this year's class as Mobile, Alabama native Rashad Robinson signed his letter of intent to play for the Tigers, head coach Daron Schoenrock announced Thursday.
Robinson inked his NLI to join Memphis as a standout outfielder at Mobile Christian School.
"So excited that Rashad has decided to become a Tiger," Schoenrock said. "His energy, passion and the outstanding competitor he is will allow him to make an early impact in our OF, and we are thrilled to add this outstanding young man to our 2021-22 roster!"
An all-around utility talent in the outfield and at the plate, Robinson helped guide Mobile Christian School to a 24-13 record in 2019, which included the 4A Area 1 league championship. In 2018, the Leopards posted a 27-9 mark and claimed the 3A state championship title.
In 2019, Robinson enjoyed a breakout year offensively behind a .368 average with 14 doubles, 15 RBI, 39 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.
Robinson comes to Memphis as a two-sport standout at Mobile Christian. Playing outfield and second base on the diamond, he also lettered four years as point guard in basketball. In the classroom, Robinson has received Honor Roll accolades throughout his academic career.
