Tigers announce signing of Price Watson

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Continuing to strengthen its signing class, Memphis baseball announced the addition of Price Watson to the program.
Watson inked his National Letter of Intent to play for the Tigers after continuing to post a strong prep career in the state of Arkansas.
"A very good 'pitch-ability LHP,' Price possess an outstanding arsenal of movement and secondary pitches that left handers use to keep hitters off balance, and we can't wait to see Price's career as a Tiger unfold," head coach Daron Schoenrock said of Watson. "Price knows how to win games and that can propel him to a significant role early in his Tiger tenure."
A product of Marion High School, Watson recorded a 1.98 ERA with 78 strikeouts this past season. Overall, Watson holds a 1.81 ERA throughout his prep career. The Crawfordsville, Ark., native has also registered a no-hitter on the mound, a game in which he tossed 14 strikeouts.
Watson has been named a two-time All-State honoree and three-time All-Conference selection. The four-year letter winner also plays outfield for the Patriots.
