Threatt Earns Third AAC Honor Roll Nod

The first baseman notched 10 RBI in the past week
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior first baseman Ashley Threatt has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season, as announced by the league office on Monday. Threatt has now been on back-to-back Honor Rolls after earning a spot in last week's award list.
Helping lead the Tigers to a 3-2 record over the past week, Threatt carried an average of .385 in 13 at bats. She connected on five hits, including a double and two home runs.
In game one against Alcorn State on Tuesday, Threatt set the program record for RBI in a single inning, scoring two runs on a double before notching RBIs three through six with a grand slam in the first inning. She finished the week with 10.
Threatt extended her on-base streak to a team-high 17 games, reaching safely in all five games in the past week. The senior also recorded a perfect defensive week, fielding all 28 attempts that came her way.
The Tigers wrap up a four-game road swing with a midweek game against Mississippi State on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Starkville. For more information on the Memphis softball team, follow the Tigers on social media at @MemphisSoftball.
