Women's tennis hosts North Texas for home finale

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For its final match at the Racquet Club of Memphis, the Memphis women's tennis team will host North Texas Saturday.
Marking the second to last match of the season, first serve on Saturday's match is slated for noon. Free pizza and drinks will be served to fans in attendance. Admission is free to all University of Memphis home tennis matches.
In their last outing, the Tigers swept a three-match home weekend, downing Cincinnati, South Alabama and Marshall.
Laura Bente enjoyed a 5-1 performance last weekend, including a 3-0 mark in singles play. The sophomore leads the squad in singles wins with a 13-5 mark in dual-match play.
Anchoring the top spot in singles, sophomore Alisha Reayer seeks to build upon an 8-6 mark in the spring season, while junior Katherine Cao looks to continue her momentum of a three-match win streak.
North Texas (10-9) visits Memphis after snapping a three-match skid with a 4-2 victory against UT Arlington. Maria Kononova leads the squad in dual-match singles victories with a 12-5 mark.
