Goodman named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

Rookie garners third weekly accolade

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After another standout weekend for Memphis baseball freshman Hunter Goodman, the rookie landed a spot on The American's Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Goodman hit .538 (7-for-13) in the Tigers' three-game set at UConn last weekend. He also plated three runs and tallied four RBI in the series.

A 4-for-5 day from the Arlington, Tenn., native helped propel the Tigers to a 7-1 victory on Saturday against the Huskies. Goodman also connected on his fifth homer of the season on Saturday, all of which have come in the last 10 games. His 40 RBI this season rank third in The American.

Monday's nod is his second Honor Roll accolade of the season, previously being listed on Mar. 11. Goodman was also named the league's Player of the Week on Apr. 1.

Goodman and the Tigers return to the diamond at Ole Miss on Tuesday night. First pitch from Swayze Field is slated for 6:30 p.m.
