Men's tennis begins three-match road trip at No. 18 Oklahoma

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Following a league win earlier this week, Memphis men's tennis will begin a three-match road trek with a trip to Norman, Okla., to face No. 18 Oklahoma on Friday.
First serve from the Headington Family Tennis Center is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Oklahoma Plus.
The Tigers (9-4, 1-0) collected a 5-2 win against Temple on Tuesdya afternoon at the Racquet Club of Memphis. The Tigers won the opening doubles point for the 10th time of the season. Memphis then found wins in singles play from Chris Patzanovsky, David Stevenson, Oscar Cutting and Patrick Sydow.
With the wins, Patzanovsky and Cutting each pushed their dual-match singles records to 9-1. Patzanovsky, who checked in at No. 123 in this week's Oracle/ITA rankings, also extended his winning streak to five matches.
The Sooners (10-3) scored a pair of ranked wins last weekend by identical 4-1 finals. Oklahoma posted a win against No. 45 Tulsa on Friday before downing No. 21 Florida State on Sunday. The Sooners feature a pair of ranked singles players in No. 62 Spencer Papa and No. 67 Alexander Bakshi.
The Tigers are 1-5 all-time against the Sooners and are seeking their first win in the series since 1979.
Along with the Fox Sports Oklahom Plus broadcast, a live stream and live scoring will also be available for Friday's match.
