Three Tigers set to compete in Austin ITF event

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis women's tennis will have three Tigers represent the program this week as part of an ITF event.

Juniors Laura Bente and Alisha Reayer along with freshman Aran Teixido Garcia will compete in the Austin ITF $15K this week, a UTSA Pro Circuit event.

All three players earned entry through their ITF ranking. Teixido Garcia holds a 937 ranking in singles and 1360 mark in doubles. Reayer is currently ranked No. 959 in doubles on the ITF Tour, while Bente has a career-high singles ranking of 1530.

"The goal of this tournament is to get more experience at the next level, which is something more and more of our kids are wanting to do," associate head coach Ryan Haymond said. "We're excited to be here and getting a chance to compete."
