Knights score six runs in the ninth to win Saturday
Jonathan Bowlan recorded his fourth quality start of the season, pitching 6 2/3 innings with 10 strikeouts. He allowed just three runs on seven hits and two walks.
Tyler Webb was 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and one run scored. He finished the weekend with five total hits.
UCF got on the board in the first inning after back-to-back singles to take a 1-0 lead.
Kyle Ouellette blasted the Tigers into the lead in the bottom of the second inning with a two-run home run to left field. The Tigers would have liked to get more out of the inning but left the bases loaded.
The Knights tied the game right back up in the bottom of the third though, using a two-out RBI single to level the score 2-2.
The Tigers clawed back to tie the game up in the seventh on doubles by Webb and Hennemann.
Memphis had a chance to take the lead in the eighth inning with two runners on base with just one out. But the Tigers could not drive in the go-ahead run.
UCF went on to score six runs in the ninth to put the game away.
Memphis will continue its home stand by hosting Ole Miss at AutoZone Park Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
