League recognizes senior forward following back-to-back double-doubles
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Memphis senior forward Kyvon Davenport was named to the American Athletic Conference weekly Honor Roll Monday.Â

Davenport was honored for a week in which he helped the UofM to wins over Little Rock and Tennessee State. He had double-doubles in both games.

He received honor roll recognition for the third time this season.

Davenport averaged a double-double of 13.5 points and 13.5 rebounds and shot 63.6 percent from the field in the two wins last week. The double-doubles were the 12th and 13th of his career and his fourth and fifth of the season. The double-double against Tennessee State was his third-straight of the season.

In the 99-89 win over Little Rock, he grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds and scored a key basket with 1:32 to go to give Memphis a 95-86 lead and put the game out of reach. He had 12 points and 12 rebounds against Tennessee State in a 99-41 victory.
Davenport also earned Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors Monday from the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.
Memphis (7-5) resumes play after the holiday break with a home game at noon Saturday against Florida A&M.
