Drew Edwards Joins Memphis Baseball

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Drew Edwards, a right-handed pitcher from Arlington High School, will join the University of Memphis baseball program for the 2020 season, head coach Daron Schoenrock announced.

"Drew really impressed our coaching staff with his continued improvement each outing at the end of his junior season and into the summer season. He will be a nice fit for our program and will impact others by the way he approaches things and his work ethic," Schoenrock said.

Edwards helped lead Arlington High School to a 17-13 overall record and the regional and sectional championships last season. He heads into his senior season at Arlington as one of the Tigers' starting pitchers. Edwards also plays basketball, football and volleyball. He is a member of the Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society and Beta Club. He is also the Co-President of FCA.

Edwards is the son of Joey and Leanne Edwards.
